About Us
Established in June 2013 when we hosted our first ever Husky meet with 6 friends and 10 dogs, we now have over 2000 members from all across Yorkshire and surrounding areas, we are the largest dog walking group in the UK. The group is for all our members and we encourage peoples suggestions and participation. We had 153 dogs on one of our walks on Filey beach and what an amazing sight it was to see them all playing and happy....

Hi and welcome to Yorkshire Husky Meets, I have been a dog lover and owner for most of my life, as a family we used to have German Shepherds, my Grandad was also a Police Dog Handler for Merseyside Police for a number of years so I have grown up with dogs from a young age.
We started this group due to our own passion for our own dogs as we enjoy going to new places to find walks with our pack. We got together with a few friends including Debs, Ian and Shauna Ward who were our original members for a walk in our local woods and Yorkshire Husky Meets was born!

Hello and welcome to the Yorkshire Husky Meets family, I am glad that you found us. We love our dogs and love to see them happy, the only time that they are truly happy is when they are around other Snow and Sled dog breeds. Its amazing seeing the excitement in their faces and how they interact with each other.
Like many Sled and Snow dog owners we used to walk through a local parks and woods and other dog owners would walk away or quickly grab their dogs to avoid our pack, all our dogs wanted to do was to meet and play with them all. Now they have that oppurtunity and its great seeing other like minded owners joining us to enjoy the experince.

Hi I'm Thunder and I am a German Shepard x Husky, I love to meet and play with all my Husky friends.
I am the pack leader on meet days and like telling everyone off including the hoomans.
You may not think I have any Husky in me but just watch my tail because its as confused as I am!
I love to jump up and lick all my hooman friends and to do my barking howl at everyone that walks by....

I'm Skye and I was rescued as my owners didn't want me anymore as they wanted to go on holiday, I came to live with Thunder and his family and I loved it so much they decided to adopt me.
I like all the boy dogs and love to flirt with them but I don't like how some of the other girl dogs look at me so I tell them what I think of them!
I love cuddles and kisses so it you see me please come and say Hello! x

I am new to the pack and live with Skye and Thunder because my owner lied and said I was aggressive but I was only 12 weeks old, I love to play fight with Skye but I think she doesn't like me but Thunder just lets me bite him hehe! I love to be told I am a good boy and to be given treats.
People think I have a smile all the time and laugh at me because of my lower jaw is to long, I think I might still grow into it.
I do get a bit excited with new dogs when I meet them but all I want to do is play.

Regional Co-ordinators and Staff Members
Our Regional Co-ordinators are all volunteers who have the same passion and drive as we do, they host weekly mini meets in their region, check out new locations for future main meets, promote Yorkshire Husky Meets, give out sound advice about the breed and help other dog owners.
